My pilot I’m making is called “Intern Roommates part 1: Dating in LA” and it’s shaping up to be pretty great! Everything takes place in my apartment (in front of the big white wall, next to the fridge) and incorporates all the inside jokes that me and my roomies keep chuckling about (we watch Anchorman a lot!). Can’t wait for it to be shown on the big screen!
Quick question: do the shows have to be five minutes? I mean, what if they’re five minutes and twenty seconds? That’s only twenty second over! Come on! I have a killer 20 second “awkward pause” bit I need to keep in there. And the jokes need lots of room to breathe. We’re gonna be holding for laughs!
My script is currently 9 pages, but with the training/dancing/RaNDoMNeSS montage it’s gonna be about 11. I can send you the script if you send me a message here, but my lit. agent (my roomie) has to approve you first. My influences are Jim Jarmusch, P.T. Anderson, and my Boondock Saints poster.
CASTING MY CREW:
I’m looking for a DP with a Red Epic camera and those lenses that Kubrick used for Barry Lyndon. The job doesn’t pay and I won’t have food, but you WILL have the opportunity to DP more of my stuff in the future. You may even be bumped to cinematographer!
I’m looking for a Production Assistant with grip equipment who can do grip work and will be key in gripping the grip equipment. This is also known as a PA gig, and does not pay.
I’m also looking for a sound person who can hold two booms, since my show will be in stereo (duh). The sound job also does not pay (duh!).
Also, We’ll need some extras for the party scene if you guys can invite your friends to my place on Tuesday at 8AM. BYOB!
